Piano pieces for intermediate-level students. An interesting fact is that Paul wrote one new piece each day for one month, and seven of them were included in this publication.
Deborah –
Lovely, peaceful minimalist pieces for piano. Accessible to mid to late intermediate students.
Sharon Ellam –
Thank you for this lovely piece! It has some interesting sounds & concepts that immediately make me consider my student, ‘Miss 16’, who is entering her final 2 years of high school this year in NSW Australia. She’s electing to study ‘Music 1’ – the entry level Music subject for those with an interest but fewer skills, knowledge or history of music study. Having a learning problem, I’m looking for musical choices that appear more than they are for her. There’s a performance component in this subject, which assesses on the level of improvement over the 2 years rather than the level of expertise. A variety of styles of music are encouraged & non-mainstream choices seem to be rewarded. Friday will be a lovely inclusion on Miss 16’s program towards the end of this year & she will love it.

Friday is my first piece by Paul Birchall, but it will not be my last! It is a very sophisticated sound that is not difficult. My students are going to love playing “Friday”.
Rachel –
Friday from this book is a very appealing piece of music – a great introduction to minimalism for my students.
vishnak08-piano –
An elegant and beautiful pieces that encourages students to contribute personal artistic expression and interpretation.
Nita –
Friday is a lovely piece that audiences will enjoy hearing and that students will like to play. For the student, it gives a good workout for broken tenths in the left hand and practice in keeping the busy left-hand quiet accompanying the cantabile right hand. Accessible for small hands.
Nancy –
These are beautiful pieces to teach musicality, melody tone, technic; it is filled with goodies. Love it for myself, as well, a fun sight read!
Clara –
Lovely melodies. Just what I needed to present to some of my picky teens.
Karen –
I enjoyed these pieces very much and look forward to sharing it with one on my more advanced students next year. It’s very lovely!
Christine –
Such a great, beautiful piecies!
