Album for the Young

Album for the Young is a piano collection by composer Irina Nenartovich (USA), who studied composition with Sergey Slonimsky at the St Petersburg State Conservatory. Nenartovich’s instantly appealing style mixes diatonic and chromatic themes with sparkling neo-romantic elements influenced by Russian folklore.

The seven-piece collection gives young musicians precise directions, including detailed instructions for fingering, pedaling, dynamics, articulation and metronome markings, all helping with the pupil’s interpretation and performance.
